Auqib Nabi — Delhi Capitals Player Profile, Role & IPL Record

Delhi Capitals · IPL 2026 squad (date-stamped) · Profile updated 26 October 2026

Delhi Capitals fans looking up Auqib Nabi usually want three things — the role, the record and the 2027 outlook. All three are covered here, with anything unverified clearly marked instead of filled in.

Where Auqib Nabi Fits in the Delhi Capitals Setup

What does DC actually need from Auqib Nabi? Start with the listed role — PENDING — specialist role awaiting verified listing — and the home conditions at Arun Jaitley Stadium, where half the league campaign is played. Preparation around that brief is the unglamorous core of franchise cricket. This page records the brief and the verified facts; career numbers join them only when they can be traced to a source.

There is a wider story around Auqib Nabi's place at DC. The franchise plays out of Delhi, where the home crowd at Arun Jaitley Stadium has its own demands, and the leadership group around Axar Patel has been clear about role clarity since the mega-auction rebuild. For supporters tracking Auqib Nabi, the useful question is never just 'is he in the XI?' — it is which job in the XI is his on a given night.

Auqib Nabi — IPL 2027 Outlook

The 2027 campaign gives Auqib Nabi a clean runway: a reported 10 March start, 74 matches across India, and a Delhi Capitals side with clear ambitions. Whether Auqib Nabi becomes a first-choice pick or a high-value squad option will be one of the smaller stories that decide how far DC go. All of it plays out against the backdrop of the aftershock of the December mini-auction, when released stars reshuffle every depth chart.

Coaching staffs talk about 'bankable overs' and 'bankable innings' — the unglamorous currency players in this bracket trade in. And hovering over all of it is the auction cycle — every performance is also an entry in next December's spreadsheet. Supporters measuring progress should watch selection patterns rather than press conferences: the XI is the only team news that never bluffs.
