About M. Chinnaswamy Stadium
Short boundaries and a true pitch make this India's highest-scoring IPL ground; average first innings around 182. In Bengaluru, the ground is home to Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Home advantage in this league is not a myth — it is pitch knowledge, crowd energy and routine — and this is where Royal Challengers Bengaluru collect most of theirs.
For the neutral fan, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium belongs on the bucket list precisely because it is not interchangeable with the other nine home grounds. The IPL's great design strength is that its venues kept their personalities as the money grew, and a night in Bengaluru during the league is still an experience with a local accent — food, chants, weather and all.
